+++ Well done to all the Year 6 children for completing their SATs this week +++ Please bring in any bottle tops for Mrs Recycle next week (we need a 1000)  +++ It was great to see lots of people at the vintage tea party at the Village Hall on Saturday. It raised £300 towards our reading garden project. Don’t forget the table top sale at the village hall this Saturday (11am start) +++ Good luck to the football team ahead of their tournament today at Shebbear College +++

Reading Garden

Work has started on our reading garden project. We want to create a quiet and calm area in our lovely school grounds where children can spend their break time with a favourite book or chat quietly with their friends. In order to create this space, we are raising money through the SSSG and on Saturday, a hardy gang of volunteers spent some of their bank holiday clearing the garden area of various bits of rubbish, tidying up the overgrown shrubs and giving the pathways a power wash. The results are already clear to see and the children had a fantastic surprise when they returned to school this morning. The Year 6 children already love their upgraded area. Thanks to everyone who came along on Saturday to help. Although the numbers were not huge, everyone worked incredibly hard and their fantastic effort are really appreciated by all of the children and staff. Please see some of the before and after photographs. We will keep the website updated with the progress on our reading garden project.
