Mother’s Day Assembly

On Friday morning we were very pleased to welcome Teddy class parents and carers for a special Mother’s Day assembly. Everyone was treated to an entertaining presentation by the children and it was a real celebration of mums and special ladies in their lives. The children talked about why it is a special day and the origins of the tradition. They did a lovely rendition of the Beatles’ song, ‘Here comes the sun’ which is very appropriate at the moment! The children then gave out presents and cards and had the chance to share some of their learning while the adults had a cup of tea. It was a really lovely morning and I hope all those who attended enjoyed it.
