Pupils from the school attended the Sunday Remembrance service at the War Memorial in Shebbear. Adam, Bethany and Emily laid a school 
wreath alongside other local organisations. On Armistice Day itself, the whole school walked to the war Memorial in the centre of the village for an assembly followed by a two minute silence which was beautifully observed. The children were also able to see the new memorial benches, which were made by an ex-Shebbear pupil.
Shebbear Community Primary School was founded in 1877. It is set in the heart of the Devon countryside, in the small rural village of Shebbear.
